Help for Back Pain

Have you ever said, “ouch, my aching back”? Then you are not alone. According to the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Disease, back pain affects 8 out of 10 people at some point in their lives. Some people experience acute pain that normally lasts less than 6 weeks, while others experience chronic pain, which can last longer than 3 months.

Our online Health & Wellness portal has many resources to help you with your back problem. You’ll find healthy back workshop, audio and video presentations, and reading materials. You can also view demos on exercises for strengthening your back. You can even e-mail questions to a Fitness Trainer.

To get started, please click here. Click on "Register New Account". You will need to enter your Care1st Member ID number. This number is listed on your Care1st Member ID card. You must complete the Personal Health Assessment in order to access the resources mentioned above.

Preventive Health
(Initial Health Assessment - First Health Checkup)

You need to make an appointment for your first health checkup as soon as possible if you are a Care1st member. You will receive a complete physical during your first health checkup. This checkup will help your doctor get to know you better. This is important since your doctor is your partner in your health. At your appointment, your doctor will ask you to answer a questionnaire called the "Staying Healthy Assessment." It will help your doctor provide you with complete care.

Preventive Health Guidelines

Regular checkups, even when you are not sick, are important to maintain your health. They also help your doctor identify health problems early on. The Preventive Health Guidelines below show you when you need your regular checkups:
