Care1st Health Plan understands and
appreciates the excellent service provided by participating physician
& Medical Group office staff. We recognize that the service
experienced by our members is not limited to what Care1st employees
provide on a daily basis. We know that the service provided by participating
physician office staff is equally important and goes a long way
in determining our members' overall impression of and satisfaction
with Care1st.
The Program
That is why Care1st created The Recognition Award program. Through
this program, we show our appreciation for those individuals and/or
groups that go the extra mile to provide outstanding service. Our
goal is not only to award individual(s) or a department working
at our participating PCP/Medical Group/IPAs and Direct network for
providing excellent service to Care1st members, but to let them
know how important they are in the partnership of caring for our
members.
The Nomination Process
On a quarterly basis, Care1st's Provider
Network Operations Department mails out nomination forms to all
directly contracted PCPs asking them to nominate someone from their
staff who provides excellent service to Care1st members.
A similar form is also mailed to all contracted
Medical Groups/IPAs requesting the Medical Group/IPA to nominate
an office staff person from one of their participating medical groups/practices.
Nominations received each quarter are then separated
into two categories (Direct vs. Medical Group/IPA) and a Care1st
Board member selects first, second and third prize from each group.
