Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System |
What is AHCCCS?
The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) is Arizona’s Medicaid program. AHCCCS was created to provide health care to those who cannot afford to pay for health insurance. There are eligibility / income requirements that an applicant must meet in order to qualify for programs administered by AHCCCS such as KidsCare, HIFA, SOBRA and others. AHCCCS provides health care coverage to over 900,000 members, which is almost 16 percent of Arizona’s total population
