Contingency Plan
In the event of an emergency or disaster, it is important for Care1st to be able to communicate with its provider network. In the event that telephones and electricity are usable, blast faxes will be sent to all providers informing them of the situation. The communication of the Blast Fax letter will be coordinated by Provider Services Department. In the event of telephone availability but no electricity, the Provider Services Representatives will make follow up calls to key providers to inform them of the circumstances. As a last resort, Provider Services Representatives are prepared to visit hospitals and the largest providers to disseminate the latest information on the situation.
