Cultural Competence Care1st Health Plan Arizona, Inc. is committed
to ensuring that our members receive quality services in a culturally
competent manner. We will provide our provider network with
assistance in improving culturally competent care and ensuring
that providers, members and co-workers receive services and assistance
in a culturally competent manner.
We will implement and maintain a cultural competency program that
provides education, training and overall exposure to diverse populations. Care
1st recognizes the need to address issues of diversity or multiculturalism
in the healthcare arena. As the nation works toward eliminating
racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare, Care 1st will work
toward eliminating such disparities in the communities it serves.
