The Pharmacy Department is responsible for overseeing the proper administration of the pharmacy benefit for Care1st members.

The Care1st Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee
This Committee is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that meets quarterly to review the Medication Formulary and evaluate the quality of pharmaceutical care provided to our members. In addition to maintaining the Formulary, the Care1st Pharmacy Department manages the prior authorization process providing a process for physicians and pharmacies to submit requests for medications not currently included in the Formulary.
